Muschamp was not on anybody's list for head coach. Beamer was not on anybody's list for head coach. After all the other coaches turn the coots down they aren't even competing against Div II schools. They did steal a HS coach though.

Coots should have hired their last interim coach Shawn Elliott instead of the doo doo ice salesman but that’s all water under the bridge now.

Danny Ford was also a position coach, promoted to interim coach, who had never been a coordinator. Also won a NC at Clemson.
