Rafer Johnson passed away, RIP

Two-time olympic medalist in the Decathalon, and was also one of the guys that tackled Sirhan Sirhan in 1968 when RFK was assassinated.

It is interesting to here the varying accounts of what happened in the kitchen when Kennedy was shot. Rosey Grier told it one way, and Rafer Johnson told it slightly different. There was an audio recording of the whole thing to confuse matters even more.

As turbulent as 1968 was, sooo much seemed possible back then - and Rafer Johnson was the epitome of that - quality man and socially conscious.

He is someone (an exemplar) that our football players could use a history lesson about - especially in these times.
