RIP Robert “Birddog” Lee Hughes, Clemson has lost another good one

I met Birddog several years ago tailgating and I will have to say he had quite some stories. He was 92 when he passed this weekend. Always rolled up in a restored and well cared for El Camino, wearing his Letter Jacket. Mr Hughes Lettered in all 3 sports, told some tall tales about Clemson during the WW2 years that we would like to believe were true even if they may have been embellished a bit. You will be missed Bird Dog! Prayers to your family and all the Tigers that were lucky enough to have known you.
