REPAIR CLEMSON RING

Anyone know how I can get the black porcelain background in my ring repaired? Where to send it, etc?
Any help appreciated. Chipped when I dropped it.

My ring came from Herff Jones, not sure who supplied your ring, but as others say it will be engraved on the inside of the ring. Can't speak for others, but Herff Jones will repair / clean / re-size etc. free of charge for the life of the ring. Just got mine back from them a few weeks ago for re-sizing and it looked almost brand new. Very pleased with Herff Jones.

Check the inside it will engraved with HJ-**K or the Balfour rings should have something with a B and the Karat of the ring. I just sent mine in the "C" on the top was coming out of the Onyx/Porcelin whichever the stone is

Herff Jones has resized and refurbished my ring a couple of times free of charge but they would not replace the number 8 of the class year that came out of my wife's ring. Not sure what was up with that.

Depends on year. Josten made mine ('71). Josten is stamped on the inside of mine. They have onlne info regards repair.

Mine dropped onto concrete and warped the gold one time.
I got it through Josten, and they happily repaired it for a fee. It was a breeze of a process once I contacted them.

just went through it myself...
Herff Jones will be happy to help you with your ring. You will need to go to scherffjones.com and click the “warranty” heading found there. Follow the instructions and if you have any questions you will see a toll free number on that page you can call for assistance. That number is for ring warranty customer service. If the ring has to be remade however, you will need to contact Randy Boatwright at 864-656-5671.

Problem solved. I called Balfour and they confirmed that they did indeed produce my ring and it can be repaired. All I have to do is ship it to them. Again, thanks for all the suggestions.

Recent grad, May 2016.
I got my ring in November 2015, the black onyx cracked about a month later. I went to the alumni office on campus by Clemson House. I walked in with a piece of paper that had pictures of the damage on my ring with a detailed description of what I needed done to it (repair and resizing). The alumni office sent it off free of charge and covered the shipping. Balfour mailed the repaired ring back to me directly at no cost to me, and it even came in a new ring box.
tl;dr take it to the CU alumni center. They'll take care of it all for free. Takes about 2.5 months turn around time.

the black background will wear off no matter what. I think they look pretty cool when it all wears off by the time you are 40-50 years old.
