My million dollar idea

Everywhere I have shopped for bedsheets (Ross, TJ Max, Marshalls) only sells sheets in packages containing 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, and two pillow cases. There may be places that sell individual items, but it's uncommon.
I rarely use a flat sheet. I feel that the newer generations are similar. If it gets put on the bed, it gets kicked down around my feet and seldom used. Even IF I were to use one, the fitted sheet wears out 10X faster than a flat sheet.
I propose a device that would allow a flat sheet to function like a fitted sheet, thus doubling the life of a set of sheets. Some sort of stretchy clip on devices that you would install on the corner of each flat sheet so that it would be securely held on a mattress.
What say you?

I don't think stop sheets are big enough to use as fitted sheets on an appropriately sized bed, and if they are, couldn't you just do hospital corners all the way around to get the same result?
I think that's why they are called hospital corners, because hospitals only buy flat sheets.

I have found that cheap COARSE sheets feel so much better than the 23,000 thread count over-priced junk. Give me 100 thread count cotton sheets, and I'm gold.
Now you may be onto something for kids' sheets. Our boys sleep in no less than 231 different positions, in every orientation imaginable, over the course of a night.

up. So it's a trade off.
Light colored duvet - great for hiding cumstains.
Dark colored duvet - great for not having to wash your feet before going to bed.

I do not use the top sheet.
I find it inefficient to purchase a top sheet every time I need to replace a bottom sheet.
IF I could repurpose the top sheet as a bottom sheet, I would solve my inefficiency.
My invention would facilitate the repurposing of the top sheet.
