My driveway is probably 150 feet long and I think the last quote I got to redo it was $15k. Maybe tearing up the old one added a lot to the cost.

however, I am confused. Why are we concerned with fog this morning? Is this becoming like 1" of snow and closing schools?

I know it will just be fog but I can imagine your triple-slip double decker dock with the Air Nautique, Grady White and Bennington Pontoon just out of the range of visibility.

Covered docks are so pedestrian.

They ruin the shoreline.
That's why I prefer to keep my Scout 420 XLF on Lake Murray. When Dominion bought out SCE&G, I sat down with the leadership team and had them ensure me the ban on covered docks would be maintained.
Otherwise it's a nice cabin.

They start showing up sparingly as you go up the Saluda River, and I'm not sure at what point SCE&G's reign runs out.
Way off the beaten path I've seen 1 or 2... not sure if they're grandfathered in, or some redneck who just doesnt GAF. THey were so shoddy, it could have been either one.

Seating areas, whether covered or uncovered, cannot in any circumstance exceed 16 feet by 16 feet in overall dimension. Uncovered seating areas may begin at approximately the 358’ contour where shoreline conditions warrant. The seating area location and size is solely left to the judgement of Lake Management Department representatives. Covers on docks are not permissible unless the covered portion is located or starts along the shoreline at the 360’ contour and does not exceed 16 feet by 16 feet in overall dimension. The location of the seating area will be determined by lake management personnel. Hand railings are permissible, provided that none of the sides of docks are enclosed so as to obscure cross-vision.

Still can't now. Probably won't be able to later today, either. Or tomorrow, for that matter.
I really need some glaciers to melt, I guess.
