Oh I know, I always pass on what amounts to a tribute band.

I do the nostalgia shows, but they have to check some boxes. Preferably all original members, like ZZ Top a couple years ago. Or at least most of the key members... for ex, The Who before Entwistle died, only missing Keith Moon. But they have to still sound good, too. Passed on Boz Scaggs for that reason... I always go on youtube and watch/listen to current shows. I so wanted to do Boz, but he just didn't look/sound good... just going through the motions.

I saw Boz a couple years ago in Roanoke, good show.

very light crowd. Played the disco-ey hits, but mostly his more recent R&B/bluesy tunes. Closed with "Loan Me a Dime" (no Duane). Had a smallish, but talented and professional band. His voice is still strong, and at least at this show, wasn't just mailing it in.

from his most recent album 2018

Memphis was a pretty good album
