his low rating, was due in part, to not attending football camps. He was busy playing baseball, and recruiting experts, and many coaches, never saw him play

seem to have gotten a victory over the college analysts. Allen struggled to complete even 50% of his passes at Wyoming and didn't appear to have the accuracy necessary to play at a really high level despite being capable of making the occasional jaw-dropping throw. NFL scouts were talking up Allen as a top 10 pick while guys that cover college sports were tagging him as the most overrated prospect and a likely NFL bust.
