Wrong game.
This one is so frustrating for me to watch. No Lawson. Boulware playing hurt. Mackenzie goes out and Green and Kearse were not #AllIn.

Ok, so the Jan 2016 game, not the end of the 2016 season? I didn't tune in. But what was great about THAT game was we proved we belonged on the big stage.

that everyone needed to be #AllIn.
Unfortunately, that was not the case in this game and great individual performances by Watson, Renfrow, Gallman, Dodd and Boulware were wasted.
As frustrating as it is still for me, I can only imagine what those aforementioned that gave their all must feel. A hard lesson was learned that night but redemption would soon follow.

lost by 5 and never dreamed of using the excuse of having to beat Oklahoma in the heat and humidity of Miami, while Bama got to play Michigan State indoors at the Cotton Bowl. Still can't believe Bama used that as an excuse for losing by 28 this year, LOL.
After the game Dabo said we came up just short, but it would not be another 34 years before Clemson made it back to the national championship game. Boy was he right!!

probably two of the greatest teams in college football history that did not win a national title. Throw in the 2002 Miami Hurricanes and maybe 2005 Southern California.
The only team in modern era to win more games than the 2015 Clemson and 2016 Alabama teams would be the team simply known as the Greatest Ever, the 2018 Clemson Tigers.

was to crown the 2015 season national champion. That's how it works for some reason. Anyway, that Clemson team that finished national runner-up #2 was the greatest Clemson team outside of the three national title winners. They won as many or more games than any team in the history of college football other than the 2018 Clemson Tigers. They are probably one of the greatest college football teams ever that did not win a national title, along with Alabama 2016 season team.

That's just how they do it. It was the 2016 National Title Game for the 2015 season.
If you go back and look, this past year the year on the jerseys was 2019. When we won in 2017 (for the 2016 season) they had 2017 on the jerseys.
Similarly, we won the 1982 Orange Bowl, and became champions for the 1981 season.

We were painfully close to winning that game handily. Yes, if we were fully manned for that game, we win. No doubt in my mind. With MA, MW, DC we were the better team.

Critical mistakes on kickoff coverage, kickoff return team with the on side kick and the failure to cover the TE were killers.
