Nebraska from 1993 to 1997 is probably the best ever. They lost 1 game in 1993 that they should have probably won and then 2 games in 1996 in shocking upsets, but they still finished 60-3.

I can see future Clemson senior classes accomplishing that.

Back then they only played 12 games.

Jun 27, 2020, 7:09 PM

it must have been 45-3

No, from 1993-1997, Nebraska was indeed 60-3.

Sorry, buts not true. If they were 60-3, they would be on the list, right?

Clemson's graphic in the story is measuring in four-season spans, while 1993-97 would be five seasons. So Nebraska's best four-year run in that stretch was 49-2, which left them just short of that top-10 in wins.

The list was most 'wins' in a 5 year period and it didn't go back to the 1990s.

I was talking about the best record over a 5 year period.

Don't believe you should use 5 year span as a comparison.

The article was about a 5 year period which obviously included a redshirt opportunity of a senior.

One SMALL point...

Jun 28, 2020, 9:23 AM

Clemson and Alabama did not just “split two national championships” in this span. We are 2-1. ??

I can't help being a smart ###, but I think we all got your small point the first time.
