Can't really say he didn't make it, but not what you'd expect after his career here.

He played a total of 85 games in the NFL, a total 7 year career, when the average is only a little over 3 years. Need to pick someone else.

Does the name Stuckey mean anything to you? Or Perry, or Dawkins?

league, the percentage of really "BIG" stars is low. Dawk is no doubt the most successful over the long term and will be our first Hall of Famer.

Michael Dean Perry was a 6 time pro bowler. Trevor Price has played in a bunch as well. Jeff Bostic. Chester McGlockton. Levon kirkland. A guy who I thought would be big time was Anthony Simmons but he only lasted a few years

there's been a few over the years:
Dec 9, 2012, 6:52 PM
|

Lacy Brumley, a 6'7" beast of an OT in the 70's who was All-ACC and a nasty individual on the field....no idea why he didn't make it....then Randy Scott and Bubba Brown, our LB's in the late 70's who were tackling machines. Raymond Priester comes to mind too....too big and too strong to not play in the NFL....Stacy Seegars, All-American OT in the early 90's who was drafted high by the Seahawks and washed out..Stacy Long at OL washed out too.....i thought for sure Justin Miller would have made a bigger splash than he did and Donnell Washington too....recently, Rod Gardner didn't have the career he should have had and i think that if Bowden wouldn't have wasted Ben Hall's talents, that guy would have rewritten the record book at CU for TE play and would be in the NFL right now.....what a beast he was and lost in Spence and Bowden's offense.

I'm relatively a newcomer but I'd have to say James Davis

Haven't heard much out of him. Not even sure if he's on a roster atm.
I think Jacoby Ford will come back from his injury and be solid and CJ is stuck behind an idiot for a HC.

I was thinking Anthony Simmons would have been more dominant in the NFL. You never know with alot of the guys named because injuries play a role.... James Davis comes to mind and Jacoby Ford seems to be struggling with injuries.
Spiller needs to escape Buffalo. The coaching staff is holding back a huge talent.

He got very bad advice from Rick Stockstill. That advice cost him his senior year in college and a college degree.

I am thinking Adams is a good call. More recently maybe Chancey Stucky, Tyler Grisham .
Need to think on this a while.
I think yours is a good choice.

Stan Rome, and Keith Jennings were on rosters for a few years but neither played a bunch. Same for Ashley Sheppard, Ed McDaniel, and John Johnson all played a few years but were much better college players
Some that did have decent careers were Kirkland, Gardocki, and Allen

Ed McDaniel made the Pro Bowl one year for the Vikings. Was a starter for 7 seasons. Not bad for a 5'11" guy.
