One of Wilhelm's assistants back in the 70's and 80's. Just stepped down as Head Coach at FIU. What a great guy.

Just started on Wilhelm staff when I met him. High energy guy and good asst. Always thought he'd end up back at Clemson. Wish him well. Congrats for a long career.

He coached me when I was at Clemson...

He used to make us take infield bare-handed, and would not let us stick our index finger out of the glove. He also used to hit us infield on the old practice field that used to be behind right field, there were no good hops on that field as they never seemed to maintain it. Every time we told him our arm hurt from all the throwing we did, he would tell us that was the time to go throw 100 more.
