Clemson's war vs. Bradford Pears

Feb 10, 2021, 10:38 AM

here's an army we can all enthusiastically volunteer for.

But I'm sure there's some lost soul out there who will stage a stunt to climb a Bradford Pear and refuse to come down until this campaign is abandoned.

scourge of Greenville, followed closely by Red Tips. Luckily some plague killed a bunch of them.

Hack'em down!! Every last one! Even an overgrown holly shrub that's almost reached tree size isn't as ugly as those low-crotched affronts to all that's beautiful in nature!

Not letting Bradford Pears propagate really reeks of

slavery in that it is the supposed "educated man" who gets to say what grows in the forest, and by agreeing to limit different types of vegetation you coalesce to be a white supremacist by proxy of verifiable seditionism. That's not even taking into account the literary exclusion given to the name "Bradford Pear", that was done so by a thoroughly systematic racist patriarch who took into account bonds and shareholders when naming their slave ships "Bradford" and which carried pears in which to feed the crew. By this extension we see the systemic problem, and can understand why Bradford Pears have such a negative connotation in the larger schematic view of society.
