Cincinnati would never make the top two in BCS either.

Lol at that but....if a mid major can’t break through in 2020 then it’s past time to create a new division.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

He's 100% correct about the deck being stacked against them.

The BCS is the wrong answer though; it would be jumping out of the frying pan ... into another frying pan. The CFP is permanently and fatally flawed. It's still just a beauty contest, only better than polls and the BCS because they have a set of criteria that they loosely follow (more loosely every year, it seems). It's all about money, make no mistake, so nothing will be done until networks revenues start going down, but the fair, honest, and right way to determine a champion is and has been obvious for years. It is the elephant in the room that the powers that be dance all around. The system is rotten, it needs to be ripped out by the roots and completely restructured, but as long as the current system is still sufficiently profitable, nobody has enough sack to do the right thing.

No slight meant toward teams out of the P5,

but I believe all the P5's need to be restructured, expanding to include programs that can be competitive at that level. Then only those in the new P5's would compete for National Title 1.

Those out of the P5 would compete for National Titles 2, 3, 4 whatever.

It just has made no sense to me to include some of the programs in the Top 25 that are now being included, then to read folks griping why some of those aren't ranked higher.

If the goal is to find the best team in the land, I think the current system has been 100% successful. We may gripe about some teams rankings, but ultimately the best team has been in the championship game. We were the still the better team the first year versus Bama even though we lost.

Florida would be ranked ahead of us in the BCS due to those 'quality losses.'
