Stickers, t-shirts don’t affect change. Need real action

Sep 13, 2020, 11:46 AM

If players want to make change, mainly pros, put your money where your mouth is. Give 10% of your salary to be used in minority communities and to help fight injustices where you think they occur. Don’t cry for justice then do nothing for it besides playing for the cameras. Owners have given you the platform to protest. Now, do your part in return. Money talks, BS walks.

That’s win-win solution. Owners say we’ve given

You the platform now you put your money where your mouth is. If players balk them they don’t really believe in what they are protesting.

They are putting money, time, and energy where their mouths are and have been doing it for years. They are donating millions and raising millions.

I've always thought pulling people out of cars and burning local businesses was a strong message for change.

The stickers kind of just affirm your allegiance

Stickers are easy

Stoppin' black gang-bangers from killing innocent little black girls in Chicago every weekend takes time and work, not to mention guts and guns.

And a reformed jail system. We need cops, but also a completely knew system. Once you give people felonies, you pretty much give them a life of limited hope and options. I realize it goes way deeper than that though.

You don't care about this issue. Why are you posting?

Sep 13, 2020, 12:27 PM

But I'll play.

Your premise is garbage. Here's what you're saying:

"There's been a system that's been in place for 400 years. It kills you, oppresses you, cheats you, devalues you, etc., etc., etc. Don't complain about it to the people who benefit from it and can ACTUALLY change it. Fix it yourself. But fix it the way I want you to fix it...by spending YOUR money."

Jesus...it's almost staggering in its stupidity.

There are many ways to announce to the world that you are a racist. Congrats for finding one of them.

He is also ignorant as to how much these athletes give back and do for communities.

No country on the planet has given blacks the opportunity that this country has

Sep 13, 2020, 12:55 PM [ in reply to You don't care about this issue. Why are you posting? ]

Tired of hearing the garbage. If I had the freedom to leave a country that I felt has oppressed me, I think I would have left by now.

The oppression PRIMARILY comes from fatherless homes that sadly put black children at a disadvantage from birth not racism. Single mothers trying their d@mnedest to raise children on their own and it’s just an uphill battle most of the time. That’s the systemic problem.

Hard for me to see the racism argument in a country that had a black man serve 2 terms as the president along with the civil rights act, affirmative action, etc. Everybody has the same opportunity. It’s just what they what to make of it .

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I highly doubt you would like it

Sep 13, 2020, 12:33 PM

If an athlete said on social media how much $ they gave to an organization.
