IF Burch, Flower, and Smith all commit, it's going to be really, really hard to surpass this class.

What stands out to me is at the bottom of those pages where it lists Clemson's all time highest rated recruits.
2 of our top 5 had major injuries that either severely delayed their impact or prevented it all together.
That's why it's so important to create the depth that we now enjoy because you never know when your star recruits won't reach their potential through no fault of their own.

I'm thinking 2020 is as good as it can get but then again, we do have Dabo as our head coach.

There is no chance 2021 will be better than 2020.
When you consider Burch, Smith, Flowe (not yet official) and Gilbert (yeah, I know, unlikely) are still in the game, it's likely 2021 will be significantly behind 2020.

just to give you a idea, there are 10 players currently committed in the 2020 class that are higher ranked then the current 5 new members of 2021 class, and we know with Flowe, Burch, Gilbert still to decide, that number will only increase! So the 2021 class will need to get 10 of the top 100 players to compete w/ 2020 class ,we know this will probably happen, but remember the 2020 class might end with half the top 10 nationally at Clemson, that's just unreal!!

Lot of momentum in recruiting. Glad to see the coaches are pushing the 2021 class. It's a great day to be a Tiger!

I have noticed a two year cycle over the last few years. It seems to trend by position. When we have an outstanding year recruiting at DL the next year is slightly lean. At QB we get a 5 star player but the following year it is less likely to get a 5 star. Of course there may be exceptions but recruits look at the depth chart and most want a chance for playing time early. They may or may not recognize that Dabo plays everyone who is ready. Two years ago we got XT and KJ Henry in the same class. Last year no 5 stars at DE. Then this year we get Murphy and may get Burch. I doubt we get a 5 star DE in 2021, nor will we need to get one. We will recruit for quality depth. If you don’t believe me take the time to study it. There may be one or two exceptions but the two year cycle seems to play out by position most years.
