I'm defending one of the finest papers because I read it every week, and I think that people who see unusual screwups like this get the idea that it's not as great as it is.

I have no problem with you making fun of it. My response was to Swarley's suggestion that this screwup is illustrative of the paper's overall quality, which is one of the best out there.

I just find your and Cata’s undying devotion to this publication to be amusing. For example, “hey for every time they show themselves to be incompetent hacks, I can show you a well researched article.” Whoaaa. Batting .500 in baseball would be legendary. Is it the bar for the Newspaper of Record?

I wonder how funny you would find it if Fox News produced an award winning podcast with a guy who was obviously lying about his experience in Syria or confusing who the guy is that is advising the president.
