No, ESPN: it was one positive test at FSU

Nov 28, 2020, 2:22 PM

Andrea Adelson doing her best biased fact-checking, otherwise known as "stick up for the poor misunderstood sick people" explanation of the FSU/UVa cancellation. She says that after positive tests (notice the plural), contact tracing and opt-outs, FSU only has <45 scholarship players available.

But the FSU AD says they only have 1 positive.

It is very clear that Dabo is right: FSU medical staff has changed their interpretation of the ACC guidelines.

The guidelines were never intended to disqualify half a team for 2 games if one player tests positive. FSU med staff must have either virtually attended a symposium given by CA doctors or hired a new head, or something, because their interpretation has definitely changed since Norvel missed a few days with Covid.
