Can Amari Rodgers can be the next Steve Smith

Steve Smith was a great WR before he retired. I was always impressed with his ability to physically go up and take the ball out of the air and away from really good CBs that were in great position to defend. At 5'9 and 200lbs, he always played way bigger than his physical size. Smith was a 4.39 40yd guy, I'm not sure if Amari is that fast or not? But I could see Amari having a great NFL future similar to Smith if he can manage more physical CBs in NFL. I think he has the tools personally.

Had. He reminds me more of a RB in the slot. I’m looking for him to break a lot of tackles this year

All the physical similarities mean nothing without the attitude. I don't know what Smith's persona was at Utah, maybe he developed it once he got to the NFL. But there wasn't a single DB that Smith believed could cover him, and there wasn't a single WR that he believed was better than him. Obviously that wasn't 100% true, and his vocalization of his belief definitely rubbed a bunch of people the wrong way, but that mentality was the difference between him being a solid #2 speed guy with 8-9k career yards and a potential HoFer with almost 15k yards.
