he was battling some injuries early on, seems to be getting healthy.

Yes he had a knee injury and also a concussion. The concussion occurred just a few weeks ago. Brownell mentioned it when Deptula interviewed him about a week ago.

He was a really good player late in the year last year. Very encouraging to have so many guys that are capable of playing good ball on this team.
