Redshirt Report, Defense: Who is standing out in bowl practice?

Bowl practice is a time for the redshirts and the younger players that saw limited action during the season to show the coaches what they can do, and Tuesday’s scrimmage was no exception as head coach Dabo Swinney and the rest of the coaches got an extended look at freshmen. Full Story »

Would love to see LaSamuel Davis become the next Vic Beasley

From what I have read, he is fast, just undersized. Maybe he will put even more weight on in the offseason and have that same burst of speed to get off the line of scrimmage very quickly and be a great edge pass rusher.

Just remember that Vic came in at 215-217. He plays at 245 now in Atlanta. It could take a little more time and work as long as his frame can handle the weight. He does have a great first step just not a lot of weight behind it.

The amount of talent that we had RS is unreal, some were probably forgotten. That's why we just "Reload" now, instead of "Rebuild". The guys the Coots and other teams pay no attention too, just assuming we lose great players with nothing else to step in their place. LOL is all I say to that.

Sometimes you have to shake your head and marvel at how talented the 'scout' team really is! They could be as solid as some of Clemson's opponents. It's the same at Bama...tOSU...and a few others. There's no substitute for 'iron sharpens iron'.

Agreed, my fav part of this was seeing Shaq's 3.75 - shows you a kid is dedicated in all facets and likely a great leader. We know he's a freak athlete already, excited to see his commitment to being great

Can't wait to see Shaq

Got that nasty look in his eyes, and seems like his athleticism is off the charts.
