New 2020 Schedule Thoughts

Jul 30, 2020, 9:09 AM

I actually like this schedule better than our old one.

We lose home games with:
- Akron
- Citadel
- Louisville
- NC St

We keep home games with:
- UVA
- Syracuse
- USC (presumably)

We add home games with:
- BC (would've been at BC)
- Miami
- Pitt

We keep away games with:
- GT
- FSU
-ND
- WFU

And add away game with:
- VT

So overall in the division we Louisville and NC St (bye Felicia) and get to play VT, Miami, and Pitt who we otherwise wouldn't have matched up with under the original schedule (unless we meet them in title game).

This is a tougher and more exciting schedule IMO than what we had coming into this year!

Since the ACCCG is now between the top two teams overall, we could see VT, Miami, FSU, or even ND again or UNC for the first time in December.

ND fans are smugly thinking they're going to challenge for and possibly win an ACC Title. Would love for them to lose 3-4 games!

How dare you provide positive feedback on the schedule!

P.S. I agree with you

Are people riled up about it? I thought it seemed

objectively better.

Our home schedule isn't great but it was going to be worse under the original schedule (that's even assuming fans would be at games).

Now we get to go play at Lane Stadium for the first time since 2017, get Pitt in DV for revenge from '16, and get the U at DV for some revenge from '05 and '10!

Yes, I agree

I love the idea of no divisions (I always have) I like the way the BIG12 Schedules.

I like how the season will start later...

I like the season ending later(cooler months)

I like rotating teams each year, (I suggest having five permeant schools we play every year though)

You will have some of the older crowd complain about (we only have 5-6 home games) Least we have football guys. I wouldn't be against this being the new model going forward.

I know most fans make an attempt to attend a game like: Clemson vs. Florida State. Then a game like: Clemson vs. Akron

I actually hope this would be a building block for a new model in the future.
