Ohio State- 2 (2002, 2014)
Michigan- 1 (1997)
All other Big Ten teams- 0

Truth!! Hurts for them though...

I heard they think Clemson will fade into obscurity

after our little 5-year run with Dabo.

that's very obviously not PI. Actually the WR had already dropped the ball before the DB even had a chance to try to deflect it. Terrible call.

That would be very cool if true but

Dec 23, 2020, 7:51 AM

That number is 9.
Six you forgot

Penn State 82, 86
Nebraska 71,94,95,97

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Neither of those teams was in the B1G when they won those

Dec 23, 2020, 7:57 AM

Penn State joined in 1990 and Nebraska joined in 2011, so I didn't count them.

Good point...but

When you bring a team into your conference you inherit all their championships

Why do you think the SEC brought in the Coots??? they wanted to claim that 1969 ACC championship of course! SEC SEC SEC

ACC vs B1G since 1970 including "inherited" championships

1

Dec 23, 2020, 8:13 AM

ACC- 13 (Clemson 3, FSU 3, GT 1, Miami 5, Pitt 1)

B1G- 9 (Michigan 1, Nebraska 4, Ohio State 2, Penn State 2)

True, except it depends on your definition of the big 10-ish.

Pedo st & NB joined after their titles. Pedo in 1990 & NB in 2011.

and 3 more than than chit show in Columbia. lol. Only number I care about.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

look at all teams located north of I-40

Dec 23, 2020, 9:05 AM

College football is a dying sport north of Tennessee, so obvious to see.

2 Nattys (both Ohio St, credit where credit is due) in the last quarter century. That's it. The other 23+ are down South. The Northern and Midwest powerhouses of the 20th Century are mostly all ancient memories. Nebraska, Penn State, Michigan...no present day recruit alive can remember when those teams were competitive.

Just a couple decent programs left up there. Notre Dame and Ohio, trying mightily to keep hanging on, while their peers have dropped off the cliff of irrelevance.
