Need better clock management

I know there are some pros to keeping a faster paced offensive momentum, but there's no reason we should have given them the ball back with so much time left on the clock for their final possession of the half. With two timeouts remaining, we could have easily milked the clock a little with over two minutes to go, but definitely should have run the play clock down (maybe even all the way to zero and called timeout) when they spotted the ball back on the one yard line.

If VT had scored, that would have been big momentum going into the half. Hate to complain after such a great first half performance, but the offensive coaches have to help the defense out a little, since the defense has done so much for them this season.
