National seed lock???

Assuming we close out this game as is, does this performance lock us in as a national seed? Or do we need to win a few more? What say you?

P.s. that 4th inning was absolutely unbelievable. I have never seen that sort of scoring in my lifetime

No. I believe the rule is, “SEC schools that win 3 games or more become #1 seeds. ACC schools must average 75 runs per inning and be undefeated to qualify for post season play”.

Good news is we should get a two inning break this game to rest. Pretty sure there is a 10 run rule after 7 innings in ACC tourney play.

I completely forgot about this rule. Saves arms for us for sure. Man if this team is getting hot watch out Omaha.

Heck I wouldn’t have minded seeing Higgins throw another inning and Marr the last. I would rather save the good swings. Beer and Williams went out till the end lol

No. Winning this game won’t do much for our rpi since nd has such a low rpi. We still have work to do before we are national seed locks.
