is that IF they had knowledge of the pay for play scandal and that was one of the reasons that they fired Gottfried and they did not report this, then they participated in a cover up and could be liable for "lack of institutional control". Now, we all know that they most likely did know but can it be proved and/or will Gottfried sing if pressed to hard?
If a program can get away with overtly paying for prostitutes for recruits and another can commit straight up academic fraud for decades without any real consequences, I don't think any of this matters to the schools.
