Coastal Beat BYU, why are they ranked ahead of them?

If I had a vote, mine would be:

1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. aTm (much as it pains me)
5. Cincy (reward for their record)
6. Coastal Carolina (same reason)
7. Florida (much as it pains me)
8. Ohio State (reward for their record)
9. Oklahoma
10. Georgia

If you asked me who are the four best teams in America, my answer would be
1. Bama and Clemson
3. Florida and aTm (much as it pains me)

If I were coaching in the playoffs, I would much rather face Ohio State or ND than either Florida or aTm.

This isn't really directed towards you, but is just a rant in general about Cincy. I just don't get all the fuss about Cincy. At the very least I don't see where people are all up in arms about them, but not Coastal.

I've heard the "experts" talk of how dominate of a defense Cincy has, and how legit they are. I'm just not seeing it. Of their toughest games they've had the following outcomes:

-Beat Army 24-10. They led Army 10-7 at halftime, and it was still 17-10 until 6:55 to go. Army also lost 38-12 to Tulane.

-They beat SMU who was ranked #16 at the time 42-13. SMU went on to lose 2 other games though including a 14 point loss to an East Carolina team that finished 3-6.

-They won 36-33 against UCF. This isn't the same unbeaten UCF either, this UCF team finished 6-3.

-They won 27-24 against Tulsa by making a field goal as time expired. This is a Tulsa team that lost 16-7 to Oklahoma State which doesn't seem like a horrible loss until you consider that Oklahoma State played the game without their starting QB. That's the same Oklahoma State team that lost 41-13 to Oklahoma even with their starting QB playing. That doesn't make a good argument to me when Tulsa is supposed to be the toughest game of the season for Cincy.
