Dr Fauci once again throwing cold water on football season

Jun 18, 2020, 1:35 PM

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/dr-fauci-football-may-not-happen-this-year-unless-nfl-athletes-live-in-bubble/

He's referencing NFL, but NCAA is listening to him.

Getting tired of this guy. I initially defended him, but his predictions have sucked.

Jun 18, 2020, 2:38 PM

Dude has flip flopped on so many things since this virus started that his pronouncements are as trustworthy as Mexican tap water. Time for Fauci to button it up and crawl back into his bureaucratic office space that he's been milking for the last 30 years and let the rest of us get on with our lives....

The lead technocrat in the lefts dream of a socialist technocratic age. These technocrats are just as dangerous as the Marxist’s, in many ways it’s closely related.

We are not a technocracy, these people are not policy makers they are advisors in a narrow field of expertise and nothing more.

America had a spot on its arm and was told to amputate the arm and never asked for a second opinion. Don’t amputate the other arm.

they sent my kid home today from daycare with a snotty nose and mild fever (99ish). We think it's allergies, sinus congestion...but who knows? I can't see it being a cold because how the EFF did he get a cold with all the diligent cleaning that's going on?

it's covid. I'm convinced!

Jun 19, 2020, 10:35 AM [ in reply to I"m bracing. Not sure HOW schools will be able to open... ]

with COVID patients, a snotty nose is an indication you DO NOT have COVID. They also say sneezing is a good thing. They are asking about losing the sense of smell and taste as an indicator of COVID symptoms along with a fever (100.4 or greater), difficulty breathing, and dry coughing.

Do they experience with kids? I wonder if it's the same.

Jun 19, 2020, 2:17 PM

IF the fever stays below 100.4, typically that is allergies or a cold. I say this from my research. However, I am a structural engineer, not a pediatrician or doctor so don't sue me for malpractice. But, I can be a hypochondriac at times.

Just saw a report that the latest football team testing earlier this week now has positives for the virus in double digits. It’s only going to get worse based on the lax social distancing I witnessed at Clemson a couple weeks ago.

Unless there’s a major lockdown in Clemson right now the community spread is going to be exploding by August. I just don’t see the decision makers being able to push forward with sports this fall. That frustrates me terribly but it’s where things are heading in my view.

Never mind that it was a white lie with the best of intentions. Once you’re lied to, you naturally have a problem with believing the person the next time.

Fauci lied ... people died. Or is that not a fair statement this time around?

Their job is to analyze the virus and its potencies and transmission, that's it, not make calls about whether private businesses, enterprises, or government should do this or that. This has gone on since the beginning and turned everything into scaremongering and paranioa so that we all now walk along arrows in stores.
