Missouri loses appeal and chance for a bowl

Nov 27, 2019, 6:48 AM

along with recruiting restrictions upheld. Missouri had fully
cooperated with the NCAA, self investigated, reported, and imposed
their own penalties. The selective enforcement NCAA sent the
message that it doesn't matter anymore. So if you're willing to
endure the time and money spent and the negative press, it's better
to follow the UNCheat method: deny everything, drag it out for years,
spend lots of money on lawyers (get help from the conference commish),
and basically come out penalty free.

So Kelly Bryant and Tavien Feaster are finished with their college football
careers after this week. Can't help but think they have a little regret,
but it's great that both got their degrees and have options.

Missouri is 5-6. Granted they play Arkansas next, but they may not even qualify for a bowl this year. Kind of sad.

Missouri is not a blue blood and so it would not have mattered how they would have handled things. Their only hope would have been to hide it and hope it never came out. UNC did not get ignored because they had good lawyers, it was because they are UNC. Like it or not, there are 2 sets of rules for the NCAA.
