In his 1st year as HC, Coach Noonan invited all HS soccer coaches to a free clinic one weekend in late Feb/early March. During that time, the 30-40 coaches that showed up were treated to a 2 hr presentation by Noonan. He then took us to the stadium where he coached the new team in a scrimmage against the Charleston Battery. After the game, he treated everyone to pizza at the Esso Club. ** But the kicker, was that he then sat down and asked for constructive criticism, suggestions, comments, and opinions about the state of CU soccer, how they played the scrimmage, strategy, etc... Noonan was as open as can be to all the coaches and was a tremendous host.
As a HS soccer coach, I have found coach Noonan to be a great strategist, recruiter, and a really good coach at the same level as Coach Ibraham. Clemson is very lucky to have such a great man to lead our team. ** I really just wished that more students, fans, community would come to the games and support the mens & women's teams.
Thx for sharing that tf40. Really happy with Noonan. He has done an excellent job and seems primed to bring us the natty back. I too wish we had a few more games that got the attendance the SCAR games get at Riggs. If we bring the trophy home this year that will surely give a boost. Go Tiger Soccer!
