True freshman QB against Gators is not a good thing. You are probably correct with your pick but I will hope the freshman plays good enough to win. Could we see Tate Martell at QB ????? At some point. All that hype, like Fields, without playing a meaningful snap yet.

but Florida should have the better offense.
Florida returns QB Feleipe Franks, WR's an Jefferson, Kadarius Toney, and Trevon Grimes, and RB Lamical Perine. Florida's biggest weakness on offense will the the OL where they had to replace four starters.
On the other hand, Miami’s offense was just plane awful last year (ranking in the 100's in a number of statistics and metrics). This is an area where new head coach Manny Diaz and new OC Dan Enos must improve.
Game one should be a good building block for them but probably not a win.

Good defense, Franks has yet to prove to me he's a reliable QB, and favored SEC teams against non-conference opponents = value...

I honestly do not think that highly of Miami, so I have to say Florida. However, I still think the SECondplace Conference is overrated top-to-bottom, and UF is one of the most overrated, only behind Bama, UGA, and LSU.

Canes by 3 for the upset (or a close loss). This is the year all of the experts begin to 180 on the mighty SEC. Big 10 and PAC 12 gain some respect. Clemson runs the table on everyone and repeats as the best team ever.
