Major difference in time of possession

Sep 9, 2018, 6:14 PM

A&M had the ball almost 8 minutes longer than Clemson. We only ran 59 plays. In my opinion the defense was exhausted at the end because of this. This especially showed in the secondary where there isn’t as much depth. We should all be thankful this didn’t make it to overtime as we would have had little chance.

Play calling was vanilla at best. The run up the middle on 3rd and 16 on the opening drive of the second half stands out. Way to many screen passes behind the line of scrimmage that they seemed ready for. Hats off to Mond for standing tall under pressure and to Jimbo for making halftime adjustments on offense. Just my $0.02. Very fortunate to end this one with a win but and ugly win is better than a pretty loss. Go Tigers!

If we have a sustained drive instead of a 1 play 64 yard touchdown drive, time of possession is about equal. Should we not have 1 play TD drives to increase time of possession? Check the only stat that counts.
