Bama Fan Today

I was wearing a Clemson shirt and hat at lunch today, and a fellow asked me if I was a Clemson fan (stupid question). I told him that I was. He said he was an Alabama fan, and they were going to hire our coach in 4 or 5 years. I told him that Dabo wasn't money crazy, and Alabama didn't have anything else to offer that he didn't already have at Clemson.
He said that Dabo graduated from Bama and would come back if offered. I told him that Dabo was smart enough to remember that Bama had also fired him, and Clemson gave him a return to coaching. He went on to say that Dabo and Saban are very close friends. I said I knew that, and Dabo is also very close friends with Gene Stallings. He was shocked when I told him that Stallings' grandson is redshirting at Clemson.
Those Alabama people are just plain arrogant.

I lived / worked in B'ham AL for 10 years, and I concur that Bama fans live on a planet of their own. They do not respect any other team in the country. They talk football a lot, and they absolutely live & breathe it. I personally liked the people I worked with in Bama, but they definitely live in a a world of their own when it comes to football.

1. I don't believe Dabo will go back to Alabama.
2. Everyone involved with Alabama football would go absolutely nuts when Dabo held players accountable for their behavior. Dabo's principles will apply to ALL.....and Bama won't stand for that.
