The refusal to stop UNC's stalling about their cheating or their inability to stop the Kentucky turnstile of one year rent-a-players?

Really!!! If all the SEC schools were to recruit the way it was meant to be, and with the way that Dabo does things the right way, it would be easy for Clemson to stay at the very top in college FB. We are now, without over signing.

Well one is within the rules and the other clearly is not.

Plus the one-and-done players are due an NBA rule, not NCAA.

They should honestly make it like the baseball rule. Either go to the NBA straight out of HS or you have to stay at least 3 years in college

But the NCAA can make no such rule.

They can't MAKE someone stay in school and play ball, that's a function of the NBA allowing eligibility to enter the NBA to players one year out of high school.

The NBA allows first year college basketball players to enter the draft after their freshmen season. Calipari is smart to use that rule to recruit top kids. It's working for him. If Zion Williamson wanted to come to Clemson as a one and done recruit, would Brownell sign him? He would be crazy not to. UNC openly cheated academically in order to build their basketball program. They should be stripped of their titles and their program punished severely.

the colleges. Only the most naive believe that these athletes don't fill their first semesters with PE, basketweaving, Rap Appreciation(a real course), Intro to College, and easy electives to keep a "C", then register second semester, and never even bother to show up past the first class, since the grades won't be recorded until after the NCAA Finals. It makes the whole system a joke and no more than an NBA farm team. They could at least require real courses and attendance for that second semester until after the NCAAs. There are probably no more than 75, probably more like 40 students that this would involve checking on each year.

The schools and NCAA are making too much money in basketball. If academics really mattered to the NCAA , UNC would be on a huge probation in basketball. The SEC schools in football would not be allowed to run off players that were busts on the field.
