K'Von Wallace

Sep 9, 2018, 11:18 AM

Was all over the field that second half. The man had his hands or finger tips on so many footballs it was insane.

The agony he showed on that TD catch was awesome. The man was giving 100% effort. You could tell how bad he wanted that play and how disgusted he was with the outcome.

Anyway, very proud of the guy. Great game.

I think he's the most important player on the defense this season. The functional depth at safety isn't at the same level as it is for the other positions.

No db squad is going to do well if dline can't get to qb. I realize they held our dline all night.

Sorry but there were a few times that our DL came right in (and not screens) and Mond still found an open receiver.

Lack of pressure by the DL was def not the problem

Sep 9, 2018, 12:25 PM [ in reply to Re: K'Von Wallace ]

We had 4 sacks last night and there were numerous QB hurries and hits—not to mention multiple questionable no calls on holding. They implemented several screens to use our aggressive DL against us, and Mond managed to complete passes under heavy pressure several times. Their WR's started getting wide open late in the 3rd quarter until the end of the game, especially in the deep middle of the field.

Rewatch the game and you'll see how much pressure we got from our DL.

He got up and made the game winning play too! Great to see. He is my favorite tiger on D. I knew he was gonna be special when we got him.

I think K'Von is the bomb and we're lucky to have him.

However, that touchdown pass reminded me of why McKenzie Alexander always batted the ball away rather than try to catch it. It's high risk, if you catch it you're the man. But if you don't catch it and they do...

That play was unfortunate.

he was a huge pickup at the end of that recruiting cycle. He played great, probably the only high spot in the secondary in the second half.

Love Kvons effort but gotta catch the ball or at least knock it down. He dropped at least 3 ints last night.
