When he first did this kneeling thing, I thought; this couldn't have come at a better time. He's a second string quarterback, with a very pricey contract, and more than likely, he was going to be cut or waived to free up some dollars. Now are the 49ers thinking; we can't cut the guy, because if we do, it's going to look like we're biased against him and his political stance, even though we were planning on dumping him before he started his protest. Whatever his intentions, and they may have been as true blue as the day is long, I don't know, it seems to have worked out for him, at least it seems like on the financial and notoriety side it has...maybe, like I said, I don't know. Only he knows for sure, what his motives were.
I'm retired, it seems like I've got a lot of time to sit around and think of things like this.
