Would rather play Duke!

FSU isn't going anywhere - let them play East Carolina or somebody and call it a season! I think it was Jimbo Fishers last season - they had to play UL Monroe in order to make it to a bowl game. They have a history of this type stuff.

I like how it says "forcing the FSU medical staff to postpone the game . . ."

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Is this about the ACC giving FSU a helping hand...

Dec 1, 2020, 1:27 PM

after not playing in 4 weeks?

Makes no sense to force Clemson to play them. It should be a Toilet Bowl game against Duke.

They are already playing dead.
They should just give up football.
The ACC could replace them with Notre Dame and go back to divisional play in 2021.

If we're going to start kicking teams out of the league...

Dec 1, 2020, 1:32 PM

we should start with BC.

They should have never been added in the first place.

I would start with Louisville

Fans are horrible, Team is trash, the school is located in the ghetto of city... B-ball team is loaded with NCAA violations.

Time to cut bait

I don't know...

Dec 1, 2020, 2:12 PM [ in reply to I would start with Louisville ]

those Clemson Club tailgate parties at Churchill Downs are a lot of fun !!!

I wouldn't miss Louisville but I'd miss those.

Out of curiosity why would you start with BC? I don't disagree they should be gone; they just wouldn't be 1st on my choice of who needs to go. That distinction in my list goes to Louisville!

I'm lying. I would actually start with Nan - C - State - but they are an original member and people wouldn't go for that.
1. Nan C St.
2. Louisville.
3. BC - because it's too dang far away and cold and costly to travel too.
4. Syracuse - same reasons as BC.

Does fsu really want an Atomic Wedgie, followed by an over the knee spanking televised. My concern is cheap shots, and our players being exposed to their wuhan germs. FSU blood will be on swoffs hands.

Just so I'm clear

Dec 1, 2020, 1:43 PM

The ACC, however, could force Clemson's hand and mandate the Tigers play at FSU that weekend if it so desired.

So the conference could force Clemson to play a game that it clearly doesnt want to play unless financial concessions are made... But the conference couldn't force the FSU's hand to play 2 weeks ago when Clemson followed all of the conference Covid protocols.

Is that what were saying?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've said it before and I will say it again...

Dec 1, 2020, 1:54 PM

Clemson completely followed the protocols outlined by the ACC, bent over backwards, and made every effort to play FSU. Clemson even volunteered to stay in Tallahassee a couple of extra days in order to play the game on Sunday or Monday. However, FSU administrators were clearly determined, for whatever reason, not to play.

That said, if the ACC forces Clemson to make-up the game, the following conditions should apply:

1 - The game is played at Clemson

2 - If Clemson has to travel (again), FSU should be required to cover 100% of Clemson's costs.

Earlier I saw on the eSECpn 'scroll' or whatever you call it - Bronco Mendenhall said he doesn't care to ever go back to Tallahassee again. Can the ACC MAKE both Clemson and Virginia play the 'Criminoles down in FL?

Re: Noles preparing to play who???

Dec 1, 2020, 2:25 PM

If it comes to pass that the conference says Clemson plays FSU on the 12th at Tallahassee we should roll out the last 40 guys on our team to play them. Hunter Helms, double Herbies, double Swinneys and all the preferred gray shirts. No Dabo, No Venables, wear practice uniforms with no paw on the helmets and run the ball up the middle every play. It should in no way, shape or form be confused with playing the #3 ranked Clemson Tigers and there will be absolutely nothing to gain for FSU by playing the “contest”. If the CFP or pollsters want to make themselves look ignorant by saying Clemson lost (and I’m not entirely sure that collection of players would lose) then have at it.
