Seattle Capital Hill peaceful protest

Jun 20, 2020, 1:43 PM

Someone was peacefully shot and killed in the occupied zone in Seattle overnight. Police tried to respond but were met with peaceful violence. Don’t worry everything is peaceful though black lives matter

They are the group inclusion.

They should unload boxes of AR's and ammo in the liberal inclusion area, they will eventually eliminate themselves.

Seattle is like it is because the government officials allowed it to happen without consequences. Once again, these liberal idiots needs to grow a set and stop the madness. Hope the voters get wise and vote them all out.

Seattle was my embarkation place point in the early
60's. It is a very beautiful place and I hate to see
what it has become. Far-left liberals have taken over.

I hear you but I don’t think liberal is a term that described Democrats of yesteryear. Marxist is quickly becoming a more accurate description.

I stayed two days at McChord AFB and that's when I realized that
I should have joined the Air Force. They had great chow and
Hotel bunks.

And what on earth do you think is wrong with "The Great Place"? ;)

I like Ft. Hood; not so much Killeen....love Copperas Cove, Lampasas and the rest of central Texas.

Go Tigers!!!

until the last three words. No need to patronize that. The two things are exclusive. Seattle has been hijacked by leftists, for sure. But, it has nothing to do with BLM.

That's true in the same sense that...

This article was written by Murdoch owned New York Post, naturally it is going to skew to the rightwing fear bias.
As with anything there is going to be stories of people doing good things and people doing bad things. And depending on the bias of the news source they will pick and chose their stories to push your buttons. For example four women are killed PER DAY in the USA by their husbands of partners. They could fill up the front page everyday with these stories but they don't sell papers. The rightwing ones will pick stories that will appeal to their audience like "Illegal Immigrant causes crash that kills mother of five" or stories on the small percentage of violent protesters, etc, etc, and CNN will report on How Trump fires the prosecutor that is investigating his buddies or How Trump is holding a rally in the middle of a pandemic which is risking peoples live for his own gain.

Good gosh are you kidding. What "good stories" are we missing about a bunch of anarchists that have taken over a significant portion of downtown in a major city.

Go ahead, I'm waiting!

What some of the live feeds in the CHOP, it's really interesting and gives you a perspective of what is really going on.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You're certainly right about media skewing news

Jun 21, 2020, 9:36 AM [ in reply to Re: Seattle Capital Hill peaceful protest ]

and front-paging it to illicit a response. This is very unlikely one of those cases, obviously. It happens on both sides, for sure. Just look at our world today! Anybody with any common sense notices that it happens with left-leaning reports (or with celebrities, or with censorship of social media platforms) at a much higher rate.

Luckily, a majority of people have common sense. Unfortunately we are much more respectful and reserved; we try not to participate in protests, and riots, or occupy a city. For one, we typically can't. We have families at home. We need to go to work to keep a roof over their head. We can't travel and go camp out at every protest there is around the country. Some of us are in the military or are peace officers. To a certain extent, we aren't allowed to participate in things like that. And, it's just not a good look.

But, a majority of people have common sense. We are shamed on our views by the louder people with a different point of view. Even when polls are taken, people aren't candid, sometimes. This is why it took all of the news outlets by surprise in 2016. And, I won't be surprised if it happens again this year.

Racist? Every word he said was completely true. You cannot allow an unruly mob to take over any city, county or rural hamlet. This problem has raced way past the original black lives matter mantra, and if you don't see this - you're the problem!

I didn't see this discussed anywhere, so I will ask it here. Were the residents of that area asked if they wanted their community turned into CHAZ/CHOP? If they were, then that should be reported. If they weren't, then that should be reported also.

I have to laugh at one of the first thing they did was create an armed security force and enforce ID checks.

Two things they typically oppose.

Unfortunately, logic is lost on both sides these days.
