Made an offer on a used car Saturday in Athens

They came down on their price by $83. Is that how it's supposed to work now? What happened to the back and fourth where I start low about 2K and they come down 500 and then I'm at 1500 less. I thought I was supposed to start walking to my car and they would tell me to stop???
Instead, they came down $83 on a $25K car. I walked away, no phone call...nothing.

You can save some monies if you find one without a touch screen, etc. but it's 2018...Who wants to pay that much for a couple of year old vehicle without a touch screen?
I wish the Sequoia's weren't so ugly, that would be a quality option for a lot of people.

Nice ride, 1 owner, CarFax checked out. They had it priced at $8,950. Ms. Wilbur said our budget was $8,000. They dropped it to that but my expert negotiating skills couldn't get any lower.
BTW - When I brought up to the Kiddo and wifey that was way over budget I got yelled at.
Go figure.

but so far seems like no one is willing to.
New cars I feel like I've done well on (2014 for my wife, 2013 for my MIL, 2005 for myself). I was thinking maybe times had changed or something??
