This is Gunnar. He's a 13 week old pure bred Golden. His owners had to surrender him b/c he has a liver shunt and they can't afford the surgery. He lives at my house until he can get fixed up at the Vet school. He mostly sleeps b/c of his liver issue. Easiest foster dog ever. If any of you degenerates want a good deal on a Golden, holla. He should be 100% after he gets his liver issue fixed.

Basically, the choices were to get the surgery or euthanize. The owners chose to euthanize, the Dr. asked if they would be willing to sign the dog over to him. They did.

He won't go back to the original owner because that would just encourage people to sign their dogs over to get free medical work.

Sucks, but such is life.
