Jimbo Fisher and Ed Orgeron “have emerged as strong candidates” for the LSU head coaching job, and that Larry Fedora, Mike Gundy and Tom Herman are also considered by the school. The site adds that Fedora’s representatives have been contacted, and that LSU AD Joe Alleva is targeting early December to make a hire.

unc had a decent offense before Fedora got to chapelhole--that wasn't their problem. The tarhole defense has gotten some better under his watch with the hiring of baggage-carrying Gene Chizik after he was fired from Auburn---but they still aren't very good. I'm pretty sure most of the important players on UNC's offense were recruited by the previous staff and Fedora really hasn't won a "big" game since he's been there.....of course, recruiting wouldn't be much of a problem at LSU

How awesome would it be if Mike "Mullet Man" Gundy was LSU's coach? Would be entertaining to see him in the SEC West with Saban & Ole Bert Bielema. I imagine there would be some epic press conferences etc.

I think Herman might be holding out for Urban's next mental breakdown. Also might take the Oregon job if the rumors of what Phil Knight is willing to pay are true.
