Isiah Wilson from Georgia has really been blowing it.

Sep 12, 2020, 2:55 PM

He is the first round pick of the Titans of course and is an OT. Anyway, a month a go he was busted at college party during training camp risking his team with the virus. He was also drinking with minors. He supposedly tried to escape when the cops came and was going to jump off a 2nd story balcony, but was stopped. Anyway, the Titans start the season tomorrow I believe and he is busted for a DUI last night at about 11:30 after he lost control of his car and hit a wall. Georgia really puts out some high character dudes.

He's just expressing himself. Give the guy a break.

Anybody who doesn't do their due diligence on these dudes and sinks millions of dollars of cap space plus a first-round pick deserves whatever they get.

It takes an hour. Literally. Go to a college town, find some folks close to the team - a lot of times all you have to do is go to the local college bar - and ask around. In Athens, Georgia, it'd take you twenty minutes, these guys are so public and well-known. A good PI could get the skinny on these guys down to how they did in grade school.

If NFL teams are still getting burned in the first round, it's because they simply didn't do even minimal homework.

How does this happen year after year with team after team?

I think they fall in love with the upside

and convince themselves they can keep the off-field stuff under control.

I think there’s a lot of truth to this. Makes me think of Brett Favre... was a wild stallion in college that had to be broken before becoming reliably great.

IMO, factoring strength of character should be up there on key measurables. Seems to work pretty well for Dabo.

Yeah, a young man with known character issues will

suddenly get a lot better when you shove several million dollars in his hands. Riiiigggghhhttt.

I agree, but i think some of these NFL coaches are confident

Sep 12, 2020, 5:35 PM

and cocky just like the players. An NFL-level corner probably has the mindset that no WR is going to beat him, and i think some of these NFL-level coaches think that they are the ones that can get the most out of these players too, even when other coaches have failed to do so.

Did they charge the cop for busting a peaceful act?

Dawg fans are just glad he’s not currently on their team

Sep 12, 2020, 6:06 PM

because that’s normally what happens to their current players in the preseason.
