Is it just me, or is the run game still pretty vanilla?

Sep 23, 2016, 1:08 PM

We're not really running a read, it's just been handoffs to Gallman even when there's been opportunities to pull it. We're running very little WR motion to get the linebackers moving. It's basically just our O-line and Gallman going against 6 defenders in the box.

We did run the pop pass to Ray-Ray a few times, so I like seeing that. Could be establishing him as a decoy to open some lanes for the Wayne Train. But for the most part in the second half, it was just handoffs up the middle with an occasional toss out, and zero tempo to try to catch them out of position. It's been very uncreative, and I'm hoping that's by design.

Is the offensive line still really bad?

Might have something to do with it.

And if the line doesn't improve then

I sure hope DW doesn't get hurt

How dare you think our highly paid and proven coordinators have a plan. That's not going to fly in this place. Our play calling sucks and we're lost without The Chad. That's all there is to it. /s

If Jelliot makes 2/3's of the Chad's salary

Sep 23, 2016, 1:12 PM

do we only have to score 2/3's of the points?

Checked the math twice, works out.

Everything is still pretty vanilla

Formation has been basic. Motion practically non-existent. Peronnel groupings standard. Things will be as different as necessary to beat Louavull.
