In 2012 Peach - LSU's most used play was FLOP

Jan 11, 2020, 3:57 PM

I've seen the game probably 5 times. It was wild & crazy. CU did plenty of good things on offense & defense - like outgaining LSU 2-to-1; holding LSU to 1-yard offense in the 4th; running over 100 offensive plays. Also made enough mistakes to lose - but REFUSED to lose!

In the 2nd half - just try to count the "D-Flops" by LSU. Especially 4th QRT (almost every play). I lost count, but in the game - it had to be 15 or 20 - if not more.

Do they still use the FLOP in 2019-20, or was that just a Les Miles thing?

Most teams and every SEC team uses it to defend against tempo. Clemson is too honorable to do it, and it may cost us. LSU is 100% sure to go super high tempo against us to keep CBV from being able to get his formation changes, and unless the refs help us out, it will work. That said, I am proud that Clemson rises above such unsportsmanlike tactics.
