there are rules and then there are the rules for UNC- no classes, losses that dont count, etc

It was scheduled as one of their OOC games so they could play Wake. Does not count.

UNC didn't come up on Wake's ACC schedule this season. The two Universities agreed to schedule their game, as an out of conference tilt. Chapel Hill & Winston Salem proximity to one another etc.

Imagine if Wyoming backed out on our game

and Virginia a had game they needed to schedule as well so we scheduled them as a replacement for Wyoming. That is how it could be a non conference game

It wasn’t officially scheduled by the ACC conference. The way ACC scheduling is set up we can go up 6-7 years without playing a school in our own conference.

UNC and Wake thought two schools 80 miles apart should play more often than that and scheduled this game as an out of conference game.
