I'm taking a break.

Jun 21, 2020, 8:55 AM

So much negativity in the world now. I'm taking the boat to Edisto today for a couple weeks. If we all could just take a break and take time for the passions in our life, maybe the world will become just a bit better.

Going fishing. Leaving the mountains of Tennessee and going to the promised land. Gonna get some sea bass, dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, trout, and maybe a red. See you at the dock.

If you had time for your passion, what would it be.

Watching Clemson football. Hiking in Spain.

Couple of weeks... Sweet!***

Hey. Is that a Carolina Skiff? And, how do you like the Suzuki motor? Thx

It's a 2002 Aquasport. My next boat is gonna be a Carolina skiff center console. Their new ones are fantastic.

The Suzuki 150 is fabulous. But hydraulic steering is a must. But so so nice with it.

What would my passion be and what would I do? I would do the exact opposite of what you’re doing. I would go TO the mountains of Tennessee. But I get the concept! Have fun!!

I do almost the opposite. I leave Summerville and take the boat up to Keowee and float around in my fav place on earth.

That is one of the best statements of all time. You should make shirts.

Hold on, will go with you!

Fishing and golf on the gulf is keeping me sane right now. (As sane as I can be anyway).

Im right there with you brother, in so many ways. Ive always said to my friends... Id rather fish than breathe. Sooooo tired of all the hate in the world, the fighting, whos right, who's wrong and what anyone could do to extract their pound of flesh. Just remember... Dolphin follow the grass lines, cobia follow the schools and the reds do whatever the he!! They want to. Tight lines to you

Mine is Early morning devotions with God! Everything is peaceful & quiet. The next is jogging in the heat of the day with 2 thick sets of jogging clothes, a thick jacket, and toboggan on. Man there is nothing like sweating a half gallon of water out of your body and replenishing with the fresh!!! Stress washes away!

I, too, hope everyone will take your advice and seek peace.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just left.

Jun 21, 2020, 12:17 PM

The Island is crowded as usually this time of year. Idiots abound as the parking lot exit at Coot's (the old Collin's) was blocked. I pointed out they're in the driveway. They walked on on.

Good news is the water didn't look crowded.

I'm with you. Way too many people out there with a marxist direction for the country.

Used to be common sense in this country. Some flounder and seabass made the only sense I saw this weekend.

Have fun

Taking a John Boat on the Santee River from the boat landing just above Jamestown. Catching fish is nice but the quiet is so much better. Couple of cold ones helps.

I love it here in East TN

Jun 21, 2020, 1:40 PM

I miss my drive to work. I would often be amazed about the beautiful landscape I could be missing if I drove there on autopilot.

If I could go anywhere right now and did not have to worry about COVID-19, I would be in Florida. I would go to Jacksonville Beach to my favorite Mexican restaurant (Taco Lou's). I would travel south and people watch in Miami Beach. Drive the keys, spend a week along the gulf napping, stop by Disney World, and go to Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs for the ribs.

Something tells me you've been planning that trip for a while. I hope you get to take it soon enough. I just hope work doesn't quarantene me when I get back.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Automatic 2 week quarantine for me

Jun 21, 2020, 1:59 PM

If I go to a beach....they made it very clear.

But....I am in the third phase of our reopening. We are still working from home and there is no end date proposed at this time.

I hope you have a lovely trip!
