Great Uncle who was one of my favorite family members....Chaplain at Furman for 35 years, officiated my wedding, and just did a lot of good in a long life. Unfortunately he was dead before I even knew he was sick.

I'm one of the last family members to escape it I think

Jan 21, 2021, 5:36 PM

My father's cousin, his family, other cousins, etc. have all had it. Mom's BIL, her niece, nephew, and their families and children have now all had it too. Getting hard to think of family members who have NOT had it. Wife's parents, and her sister and BIL have had it. Their kids. Son's 3 best friends in the neighborhood have had it, and their parents. Of everyone I know three who spent time in the ICU with it, and two others hospitalized. Everyone has else recovered, or not died anyway.

Wife's aunt and uncle have been spared, although 2 of their three kids have had it. They moved to their hunting cabin and are taking the whole isolation thing to the max.

Anyway, it's getting harder and harder not to catch it. My mom hasn't had it yet, thankfully. She would not do well with COPD, obesity, smoker, CHF, and diabetes. She's ticked, but lately with it going around I have stayed away from mom. She hates it, but I know as soon as I go see her, two days later I will get sick. Anyway, when it settles down some I will go see her some more. I think in two weeks we will be free and clear, relatively speaking.
