If the ACC goes to a conference game only schedule

Does that help Clemson, or hurt us? It certainly increases the likelihood of an undefeated regular season, but would it hurt our chances of getting into the CFP? Probably won't matter, as I don't see an undefeated Power 5 conference champion getting left out, unless there are 5 of those, and the odds of that are probably similar to the odds of the Coots being an undefeated conference champion this year.
Just curious what others might think.

I can hear the argument now after the 2021 win
Tiger: That makes 7 straight; we are going for the record next year Coot: 7 straight, but not seven consecutive years; the record is 7 consecutive victories Tiger: Remind me who holds that record? Coot: You do, but there will be no 8, 9, or 10 since the streak was interrupted Tiger: Whatever makes you sleep better at night; how do you like your new coach PJ Fleck?

Trust me if we are only playing conference games this season, really doubt there will be a playoff or bowl games. Even if we do play 11 or 12 games, still don't think there will be any bowls or playoffs. This thing is hitting us hard end of November or early December.

IMO if the ACC goes to an all conference schedule

then an ACC team will need to win the ACC championship AND be undefeated to get into the current college playoff system. The SEC and Big Ten can still have one loss and still get the media hype to get into the top 4. I would like to see an 8 team playoff with the first round at the home field of the highest ranked team. But again, that would still favor the SEC and the Big Ten teams because at the end of the year the mysteriously move up in the rankings.
