Mich St's losses to tOSU and Oregon got much better too

Dec 7, 2014, 4:31 PM [ in reply to Miss St's win over Bama got better*** ]

I can't see how a 10-2 team with their only losses coming to confirmed playoff teams has their body of work passed because the quality of a 10-2 Mississippi State team's loss to a playoff bound Alabama team improved.

It would have been different if the committee had already had Miss State ranked higher. But while the body of work of each team improved and could justify a possible change, there's no possible way that anything that happened this weekend would make Miss St suddenly have a better resume than Mich St if they didn't last week.

Maybe our AD can answer that***

Further blunder proving sec bias

It's actually obvious, the committee had to have more SEC

teams in the top 10. With last week's rankings, the only top 10 SEC teams were #1 BAMA and #10 Miss State. They needed to get another in the mix so they could get Ole Miss in the top 10 as well.

I agree that Miss State deserved to move up since they have two losses compared to the 3 losses of the first two teams they jumped. But putting them ahead of Michigan State as well shows the obvious bias. Michigan State should have actually moved further away from Miss State because their only two losses came to playoff bound teams compared to only one of Miss State's losses coming to a playoff bound team.
