Supposedly involves mutliple casualties. The location is said to be very close to Kyle Field.

It's not on campus but a bunch of students (including my wife and I) live in the area. The shooter has been neutralized.

virtually unprotected on a daily basis. Up to modern times man carried a way to defend himself. Into the 20th century man carried handguns on a daily basis and before handguns there were rifles, and before that he had steel blades and swords. Before steel there was bronze and before that there were sticks and stones. There is no less nor more evil in the world than there was 2000 years ago. Just man feels he has less need to have a means to protect himself. Foolishness!

You do realize that the US Supreme Court has ruled, and upheld on serveral occasions, that the police DO NOT have a constitutional obligation to respond to citizen distress calls? Look it up, it's true.
While you wait for the government to come to your aid (in which time your loved one could already be dead). I will choose to exercise my 2nd amendment rights. I hope you also realize that those same 2nd amendment rights are also kept foreign powers from thinking it is a good idea to attack the USA. Who wants to attach a country where every citizen could be armed?

when martial law is declared in the very near future, you and your family will be at the bottom of the food chain.
Man up and go get you an assault rifle and a sidearm at LEAST.
If you really want to live you might want to go ahead and buy those other 3 that I was talking about ^ in the subject line: A long range rifle with a scope, a 12 guage, and a backup .22 or .380 pistol for your ankle.
Then you're set.
